Steering Committee

imagiNorthern recruited 8–10 Steering Committee members from across the North to guide the next phase of a Northern-led governance framework — honouring Indigenous principles and supporting a thriving arts and food ecosystem.

What the committee did

• Reviewed the draft governance framework
• Brought lived Northern experience into decision-making
• Helped prepare the January 2026 Community Conversations
• Advised on the next two years of the network

The work was facilitated by Inga Petri of Strategic Moves. Members were paid an honorarium of $150 per meeting (four meetings). Indigenous representation of at least 50% was a stated goal, with people from north of the 53rd parallel.
